Maggie Maggie Maggie, Out Out Out. Watch out for Milliband, Kinnock and all paying their tributes. The Tories will boast as to how she whacked the miners. I did a bit during the miner's strike, held meetings to bring together miners and strike breaking lorry drivers with some success. We went with the Bone comrades to offer help to the miners in their clubs near Swansea, but they had rules which prohibited women so we had to leave. Then I watched them marching in Kent shouting to women: 'Get your tits out for the lads'. And the Arthur Scargill song, derived from the Christian Hymn, Bread of Heaven, worried me. Thatcher never beat the miners; their leaders did it for her.

My response to the news is the same as hers at news of the deaths of hundreds of young conscripts in the South Atlantic, "REJOICE!"
